Fishing has been fair. Focus fishing effort with soft plastics in a green/black/red coloration. Minnows and spinner baits also work well. A spray-on fish attractant is also helpful because a large part of the crappies predatory instinct is scent driven.

Location: Lawrence County, off Hwy. 84, 2 miles west of Monticello, MS.
Facilities: 2 Boat ramps, 20 camping pads with water and electrical hookups, pavilion, picnicking and bathhouse.
Over 10 new fish attractor sites were created during January 2011. Several of these sites were marked with GPS and the coordinates are listed below. Others are visible along shoreline areas of the lake. The lake depth map will be updated soon showing site locations. The additional habitat should provide structure for various fish species and offer hot spots for anglers to try. Good luck!
